RICHMOND, Ky. - Eastern Kentucky University head women's basketball coach Larry Joe Inman has been recognized by Who's Who in America. Because of his outstanding coaching achievements, Inman was selected to be included in the 1999 issue of Who's Who.
Each year, Who's Who in America chronicles the lives of American leaders and achievers.
Inman recently completed his 11th year at the helm of the Lady Colonels' basketball program. As head coach, Inman has led Eastern to at least a share of three Ohio Valley Conference titles in the last four seasons. He has compiled a record of 161-103 during those 11 seasons at EKU, which included the first-ever Lady Colonel appearance in the NCAA Tournament (1997), first-ever OVC Tournament championship (1997) and the school's first-ever back-to-back 20 win seasons (1996-97 and 1997-98).
Inman has coached 19 years of collegiate basketball, including an eight-year stint at Middle Tennessee before coming to Eastern in 1988. During those 19 seasons, Inman has compiled a record of 322-187, placing him in the top 70 winningest active NCAA women's basketball coaches.
During his career, Inman has earned OVC Coach of the Year honors six
times and led his teams to five NCAA Tournament appearances.
