Chrissy Roberts
Women's Basketball  Assistant Coach
Following an outstanding collegiate career with the Lady Colonels, Chrissy decided to return to Eastern to assist the coaching staff.  After playing her first two college seasons at the University of Kentucky, Chrissy transferred to EKU.  In her first year as a Lady Colonel, Roberts led the nation in three-point shooting accuracy as she led the team to its first-ever Ohio Valley Conference Tournament Championship and its first appearance in the NCAA Tournament.  In recognition of her three-point shooting finesse, Roberts was honored at a dinner banquet in which she received the Steitz Award, given annually to the nation’s 3-point accuracy leader.  She had her uniform, practice gear and shoes enshrined in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame located in Springfield, MA.  In her final season, Chrissy was seventh in the country in three-point accuracy and fourth in free throw percentage.  During her senior season, the Eminence, KY, native garnered OVC Player of the Year honors.  She also competed in tennis during her senior season.  After her senior year, Chrissy flew to Utah to try-out for the professional basketball club, the Utah Starzz.
