As a Junior: Shannon split starts with Jennifer King last season, playing in 26 games, while starting 15. She is one of the most accurate shooters on the Lady Colonel team. Last season, Shannon connected on 41.1 percent of her shots, including 32.4 percent of her three-point attempts. She was second on the team in free throw accuracy, hitting 77.3 percent of her shots from the charity stripe and only trailing All-American guard Chrissy Roberts in that category. Shannon pulled down 82 rebounds (sixth on the team), while dishing out 29 assists (fifth on the team).
As a Sophomore: Shannon started 12 games for the Colonels in 1996-97. She averaged 5.4 points per game, 2.1 rebounds and was third on the team in field goal percentage (47.8). Shannon had a career-best game as a sophomore vs. Southeast Missouri (2-9) hitting five of nine shots, including two of two from three-point land, all four of her free throw attempts, scoring 16 points and pulling down four rebounds.
As a Freshman: Shannon played in 25 of 27 Lady Colonel games in 1995-96, starting four times. She recorded several career highs in a single game, scoring 18 points, grabbing five rebounds and collecting two steals against Marquette. She led Eastern reserves with 5.0 points per contest.
