As a Junior:
Cathy saw playing time in 25 of the Lady Colonels’ 28 games last season,
starting once. Her size and strong defensive skills earned her that lone
start against the OVC’s best center last season, Tennessee Tech’s Diane
Seng. Dues had a limited role last year, playing 6.8 minutes per contest.
In that time, Cathy found a way to make something happen. She averaged
1.6 rebounds and 1.2 points per game, coming off the bench to help spark
Eastern’s offense.
As a Sophomore: Cathy played in 27 games in 1996-97 for the Lady Colonels. Although seeing limited action, she was second on the team in field goal percentage (48.2). She averaged 2.4 ppg and 2 rebounds per contest.
As a Freshman: Cathy saw action in 25 of the Lady Colonels’ 27 games, including a stint in January when she started five in a row and eight of nine. She led the team in blocked shots as a freshman and was a consistent role player. She recorded over half of her points and rebounds in the month of January when she was inserted into the starting lineup.
