At Hazard High School: Charlotte was one of Kentucky’s premier players in 1996-97, leading the Bulldogs to a 37-1 record and both the All - A and Sweet Sixteen state titles. She played four years of varsity basketball at Breathitt County High School (8th through 11th), before transferring to finish her career at Hazard. While at Breathitt, she set that school’s marks for points in a season (720) and career (2,193). She finished her prep career with 2,955 points, 1,329 rebounds, 536 assists, 378 steals and 139 blocked shots. She averaged 20.2 points and 7.3 rebounds per game her senior year, including hitting nearly 50% from the floor.
