Shamira Thedford 6-0 Sophomore Guard Detroit, MI

As a Freshman: Shamira saw action in 20 contests last season, averaging 7.4 minutes per game. She hit 35.9 percent of her field goals and 38.9 percent of her three-pointers. Shamira averaged 1.4 rebounds and 1.9 points per game as a true freshman. Shamira scored a career-high nine points last season versus Detroit on Nov. 17. In that game, she hit a career-best three, three-pointers.

At Renaissance High School: Shamira averaged 19 points, 11 rebounds, four steals and seven assists last year as a senior at Renaissance High School. She was named First Team All-State, All-City, All-Metro and All-West Side for her efforts.
